St. Paul FSC 2020-2021 Membership Application
June 1, 2020-May 31, 2021

All persons wishing to become a member of St. Paul FSC must submit a club membership application form and submit payment for the membership dues for the current season. Dues are to be determined by the Board of Directors as deemed reasonable to insure the financial solvency of the Club.

Home Club and Associate Membership or renewal is granted after receipt of membership application, membership dues, and upon a majority vote of the Board of Directors. Ice credit package Purchase Privileges will commence upon receipt of the membership application and membership dues. Voting privileges will commence upon application approval by Board of Directors.

This year the St Paul FSC is hosting competitions:

54th Annual Skate St Paul (July 16-19, 2021 - St. Louis Park)

June Bug 2020 (July 20, 2021 - St. Louis Park)

June Bug (May 2021)

All Home Club members are required to fulfill volunteer hours.  Each year the Board of Directors determines the amount of volunteer hours required and publishes them in this membership renewal form.

The volunteer year is July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.  Volunteers must be 16 years or older to receive volunteer credit.

  • All Junior and Senior club members are required to volunteer a minimum of 35 hours per family during the 2020-2021 membership year. However, this requirement is reduced by 15 hours if a skater participates in one of the SPFSC Competitions during the membership year.
  • All Introductory Home Club Members are required to volunteer a minimum of 15 hours per family during the 2020-2021 membership year.

Skate St. Paul and June Bug are the club’s annual competitions.  St Paul FSC is a nonprofit 501 C 3, and we rely on these competitions and our annual ice shows for fundraising.  All club skaters are expected to participate in Skate St. Paul or June Bug.  Skaters who compete in one or both events will receive credit for 15 volunteer hours.  Introductory Home Club members do not receive credit for competition participation toward their volunteer requirement, because they have a lower minimum requirement of volunteer hours.

To fulfill this requirement for the 2020-2021 membership year, skaters must register for the 2020 Skate St. Paul event (held July 16-19, 2020 – registration deadline is June 13) or the 2020 or 2021 June Bug competition held on July 19, 2020 or in May 2021.  Optionally, families may pay a fee equivalent to the entry fee of each event ($170 for Skate St. Paul, June Bug 2020 fee is $75, 2021 fee will be announced Spring 2021) to receive the volunteer hour credit.  Dates stated may change due to events beyond St. Paul FSC control, and date changes or cancellations will be communicated to membership.  Please note we may be moving Skate St Paul and cancelling June Bug, but for this renewal form, we need to use the current information we have at this moment.

Families may opt out of any and all volunteer requirements by paying a $350 fee.

Volunteer hours will be tracked by the SPFSC Volunteer Coordinator.  Members can check their volunteer hours fulfilled throughout the year using an online tool through the club website.  At the end of the membership year each family’s volunteer hours will be assessed for fulfillment verification. Families who have not met the minimum number of hours required will be assessed a $10 per hour fee for every hour below the minimum number of hours required.
