Principal/Director Information

Internal Coach Information

All AmeriCorps programs require a Site Supervisor (called an “Internal Coach” for Early Learning Corps). This is typically a staff member of the service site or district/agency, and cannot be another AmeriCorps member. If you do not know who that is at this moment, please select “designate at a later time” and a staff member will work with you to identify this person. Otherwise, select "Enter Internal Coach Info" and please fill in the information below.

Please identify a recruitment contact who will lead recruitment efforts at your site and serve as a point of contact for Ampact staff. Partner sites are most successful in placing high-quality AmeriCorps members when they work alongside our staff to recruit from their community and networks.

Interview Information

Ampact staff lead and facilitate the interview and selection process for AmeriCorps members. Sites may choose to have a contact from the site participate in pre-scheduled interviews if their availability allows. If you would like a contact from your site to be invited to participate in interviews alongside Ampact staff, please check the box below:

AmeriCorps Member Request - Early Learning Tutor

AmeriCorps members with Early Learning Corps are referred to as Early Learning Tutors. Please consider the items below when determining your member request for the 23-24 school year. If you have any questions related to your member request, please contact sites@ampact.us

  • Student need and availability
  • School schedule and space availability
  • Availability and capacity of the Internal Coach (we estimate that Internal Coaches designate 6-9 hours per classroom per month)
Early Learning Tutors are individuals recruited from your community and placed in a classroom to help children ages 3-5 to talk, read, write, sing and play in order to develop early literacy and numeracy skills and get ready for Kindergarten.
Indicate the commitment levels of Early Learning Tutors requested by your school. Please select all hours commitment levels that work for your school. We consider school requests as well as the availability of candidates when placing members. * 🛈

Does your site anticipate that AmeriCorps members will be delivering service activities virtually (e.g., virtual tutoring, office work or projects that will be done remotely)? *
Beginning in the 2023-24 program year, updated AmeriCorps policy requires that AmeriCorps members serve at a physical site location, even if service activities are delivered virtually. Does your site have a physical location for AmeriCorps members to conduct their service? *
Please proceed with submitting your Early Learning Corps site application. Our team will work with you to understand the unique circumstances of your site and determine your eligibility for AmeriCorps member service.

Site Agreement Information

All Ampact site partners must sign a site agreement outlining the partnership between the site and the program.

Site Fee Information

For California school partners: This site application is not a binding contract, but rather an interest form. While federal AmeriCorps funding will cover much of the costs associated with each member, school districts are asked to pay a per member fee to serve as a cash match to the federal dollars. Scholarships may be available for school districts who cannot afford the member fee(s). Administration in each partner district is aware of the site fees for the 2023-24 school year. Upon receipt of your tutor request, our team will work with your district leadership to finalize 2023-24 tutor awards.

Please note: the question below is for informational purposes only and will not be used in the decision-making process to award sites.

There is a site fee of up to $10,000 per member for Early Learning Corps in New York. If a site fee is a barrier to participation in the program, please email sites@ampact.us to inquire about potential options for assistance.
