Peace Officers Relief and Education Foundation (POREF)

In 1980, PORAC formed POREF as a separate nonprofit charitable organization, which allows PORAC to raise and direct funding to support our members and their families. All funds raised through POREF support our many programs.

• The Scholarship Fund provides educational opportunities for deserving applicants and helps encourage young people to consider law enforcement as an honorable career worth pursuing.

• The Catastrophic Relief Fund provides financial support for our members and their families facing a crisis, such as a life-threatening illness, wildfire or other natural disasters.

• The Memorial Fund provides financial support to help families through the life-altering changes that occur when they lose a loved one in the line of duty.

• The POREF Open Golf Tournament is an annual fundraising event. All proceeds from the tournament go directly into the Peace Officers Relief & Education Fund to support the scholarship program, catastrophic relief and memorial funds.
