Congratulations! You are looking to your future and pursuing higher education. Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest is happy to see you moving forward with your educational prospects. We have five scholarships available in which you may apply.
Application Requirements
You can apply for all five scholarships, and only submit one set of required application materials. Note, only one scholarship will be awarded to each applicant.
- Applicants must be a current registered member of GSDSW.
- Applicants must graduate in the current fiscal year, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and plan to attend a college, trade, or technical school within the next year.
- Applicants must have earned their Gold Award to apply for the Churchman, Hinkle, or Matthews scholarships.
- Scholarships will be made payable to your school upon proof of registration.
Submit application by Friday, April 19, 2024

- Cover page
- Application
- Page six (6) of application completed and returned by your school counselor or administrator
- Official high school transcripts or equivalent
- Essays as required by the scholarships you chose
- Two reference forms returned directly to the council (acceptable references include teachers, Girl Scout adults, community members, employers, and adult friends)
