The SHRM Foundation is grateful for the generous support and visionary partnership of USAA Foundation in transforming the HR profession’s approach to attracting, hiring and retaining veteran employees. USAA/SHRM Foundation Ambassadors are critical elements of program success, as they are the conduits for transforming HR communities across the nation. The success of the program is dependent on veteran champions who can access and train HR professionals, people managers, and business leaders through innovative methodologies and gain a commitment from 250 of those HR professionals, people managers, and business leaders to hire one veteran or military community member by the end of 2022

As an Ambassador, you will: 

Scale

  • Serve as a force multiplier by engaging fellow professionals in important training on veteran hiring and retention.

Impact

  • Share impact with SHRM Foundation and USAA highlighting training and  engagement efficacy

Network

  • Participate in program convenings providing insights to their local HR community efforts in veterans hiring and specific needs for support and resources.

  • Coordinate and deliver education by providing insights to HR professionals, people managers, and business leaders regarding military community hiring.

Furthermore, you understand and agree that the SHRM Foundation may use this information, as well as your name and SHRM State Council or Chapter name, to provide updates to SHRM staff, SHRM membership, and other interested parties on your participation in the Ambassador Program. You also agree that the SHRM Foundation may share information about your progress and impact within the Ambassador program with the USAA Foundation and other key stakeholders.
