2021 Health Equity Conference Scholarship Application

2021 Rural Health Equity Conference
May 4, 2021
A virtual event

The National Rural Health Association has scholarship funds available for students and community members with a critical need for financial support with conference expenses.  Scholarships will be awarded on to people who meet the eligibility criteria specified on the enclosed application form, and who are unable to attend the 2021 Health Equity Conference without such support.

In an effort to foster collaboration within communities, scholarships will be given to students and community members working in health care. The scholarships will help expose these recipients to health issues and encourage their participation in resolving these issues through positive solutions.

The scholarship is to help cover the full cost of the conference registration for this virtual event.

Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award upon receipt and review of the application. Scholars will be registered by NRHA staff for the conference after they accept the award.  If a scholar has already registered for the 2021 Rural Health Equity Conference, NRHA will either reimburse them or roll over those funds towards another May NRHA event or future NRHA events.

Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be awarded scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds have been committed.

Qualifications:

Because scholarship funds are very limited, financial assistance can be provided only to students and community members with a critical need for this support. To qualify for a conference scholarship, an applicant must (1) work or reside in a rural or frontier area; (2) explain why he/she cannot attend the conference without financial assistance (see below).

In the space below, briefly explain the reason(s) why you cannot attend the conference without financial assistance.
