16th WONCA World Rural Health Conference Scholarship Application

16th WONCA World Rural Health Conference
October 12-25, 2019
Albuquerque, New Mexico

The National Rural Health Association, in collaboration with the University of New Mexico Department of Family & Community Medicine, has scholarship funds available for individuals with a critical need for financial support with conference expenses. Scholarships will be awarded to people who meet the eligibility criteria specified on the enclosed application form, and who are unable to attend the 16th Annual WONCA World Rural Health Conference without such support.

In an effort to foster collaboration within communities, scholarships will be given to individuals working in health care. The scholarships will help expose these recipients to health issues and encourage their participation in resolving these issues through positive and innovative solutions.

The scholarship is to help offset the cost of the conference registration fee, hotel accommodations and travel expenses. The total individual scholarship award will be $1,500.

Individuals selected are expected to provide their own funds to pay for remaining expenses, including registration. Recipients will be notified of their award status after their application has been reviewed.

Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be awarded scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis, assuming all criteria are met, until all funds have been committed.
