T3 Alliance Pre-Conf Training + NAEOP Registration

T3 Alliance has teamed up with the 2020 NAEOP Conference
VIRTUALLY - hosted in Anchorage, Alaska
October 10-14, 2020
Join the T3 Alliance Pre-conference on Saturday & Sunday, October 10&11, 2020.    The Coordinator for each site will also be enrolled in the rest of NAEOP for sectionals Oct. 11-14 all for one price!    The main NAEOP Conference begins at 5:00 pm on Sunday, Oct. 11 with a fun virtual banquet.
Regular NAEOP Registration will be open at the end of August.

Pre-Conference participants have the choice of 5 strands, one for new trainers, as well as more advanced strands for those who have already attended a T3 Alliance workshop in the past. The $1000 price per site includes registration for one participant at the NAEOP Conference, and unlimited participants from one site for the 2 day pre-conference with T3 Alliance, as well as  3 month access for  staff in learn.t3alliance.org which is a sandbox classroom that includes all T3 Alliance online courses.

Pre-Conference Strand Choices

Pre-Conference Strand Signup Instructions:
 
Please choose one strand per participant for the 2-day Pre Conference. The sessions held during the 3-day NAEOP conference are intended as presentations with possible examples, ideas on implementation etc, not a hands on training like the pre-conference.  The NAEOP registration will be available by the end of August 2020.
Materials for Pre-Conference Instructions:
 
T3 Alliance recognizes that most of our T3 colleagues already have all their materials for the training. These materials are optional; so if you have them, there is no need to order them. If you choose from our recommendations, the instructions and troubleshooting are supported on our courses and in the Discord.  The $1000 Price includes unlimited Pre-Conference participants, 1 Coordinator NAEOP Conference Registration.  Materials are extra cost, if needed.

Strand #1 Intro to Raspberry Pi Computer Kit & Design Thinking

Description of this course:
A full T3 Alliance onboarding training, focusing on teaching the core T3 Alliance principals of Growth Mindset and Design thinking, as well and introducing the T3 Alliance Raspberry Pi Starter Kit. This strand is for participants who are new to T3 alliance, or who would like to brush up. By the end of the course, you will be fully equipped to teach T3 Alliance curriculum and Raspberry Pis to students.  (Course is limited to a total of 30 people, first come, first-served basis.)

T3 Alliance Raspberry Pi Starter Kit

Strand #2 Advanced RPI, Raspberry Shake & Software Defined Radio

Description of this course:
This course will focus on honing your skills and knowledge around the Raspberry Pi and introducing new networking strategies and advanced sensors. You will learn how to use the Rasperry Shake seismograph and program an SDR radio receiver to use 433mhz sensors. If you have been to one training and want to level up on your Pi skills, this is the course for you!  (Course is limited to a total of 30 people, first come, first-served basis.)

Raspberry Pi Computer Kit
Raspberry Shake 1D
SDR USB Receiver
2x SDR Wireless Temperature, Humidity sensor

Strand #3: 3D Printing and Design

Description of this course:
You will learn how to use a 3D printer and CAD design programs and implement strategies to design human-centered designs that solve problems with your students.  (Course is limited to a total of 30 people, first come, first-served basis.)

Secondary computer to use CAD software on

Strand #4: Autonomous Vehicles and Systems

Description of this course:
Participants who take this course will learn how to build, pilot, and program two different unmanned vehicles: The Easybotics Raspberry Pi car and the Tello Drone. Participants will use Node-RED to program these systems to become autonomous and learn strategies for implementing them with students.

Strand #5: Laser Cutter

Description of this course:
You will learn the ins-and-outs of using a laser cutter with your students. Set up, design, use, and education strategies will be taught. (Course is limited to a total of 30 people, first come, first-served basis.)

Secondary computer on which to run software (i.e a laptop)

Share your T3 Story at the NAOEP Conference!

The deadline to submit a proposal to NAEOP is August 15, 2020.  The T3 Alliance has put in requests for proposals, and hopes to offer several of the following.  NAEOP will also have many other choices you won't want to miss.  If you are NOT the coordinator for your site, be sure and register for the NAEOP conference separately.

The T3 NAEOP Pre-Conference is Saturday & Sunday, October 10&11, 2020.  The NAEOP Conference begins at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 11 and runs through 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.   
 
PRICE FOR T3 ALLIANCE PRE-CONFERENCE & NAEOP CONFERENCE COMBINED:

Price is per site for the T3 Pre-Con, but individual for the NAEOP Conference.  It includes one registration for the NAEOP Conference, and unlimited participants for the pre-conference with T3 Alliance, all other NAEOP participants need to register for the conference on the NAEOP website.  Price also includes a packet of instructional supplies to share with all participants. 
 
 
It is assumed that the main site contact will provide participants at their site with the location and any information needed for housekeeping.  Site coordinators will need to ensure good internet connection, a viewing area, tables for hands-on working, with computers at each place for breakouts, and speakers for broadcasting the webinars.
