New PAID CREW Applicants

This application is intended for those applicants who wish to apply for a position with our San Francisco Bay Area Local Crew. Applicants must be live in this area and be available to work on a regular basis at many of our annual, monthly or weekly local events. Travel stipends, meals and lodging are typically not provided with this position. These positions are year-round, part-time, non-exempt with commitments ranging from 6 hours-30 hours/week. You must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. These positions are NOT traveling positions. All applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and open until filled. Local event work will begin in January with more hours and shifts becoming available throughout the spring. All applicants will receive notification of our hiring decision within two weeks.

All applicants may register as a Volunteer for any available event. If you are hired for that event after you have already registered, we will remove you from the volunteer list and refund any deposits and/or adminstrative fees you may have submitted. You will need to alert the Volunteer Program Manager that you have been hired and that you need a refund by emailing volunteers@cleanvibes.com.

ALL Paid Positions will include:

• Payment for every day worked at each event.

◦ Assisting in the process of providing spaces for a communities to gather in a safe and healthy environment.

San Francisco Bay Area LOCAL CREW MEMBERS

All applicants for local San Francisco Crew MUST be local to the Bay Area and:

• Have reliable transportation to San Francisco and be available 6-18 hours per week including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Be able to consistently lift 50-75 lbs and work on foot for several hours each day.
• Be committed to recycling and composting and enjoy working as a team while getting a little dirty.
• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks (no experience with waste management necessary).
 
Clean Vibes San Francisco Bay Area LOCAL CREW MEMBER Responsibilities:

• Set up and place collection stations and appropriate signage throughout the event site.
• Service collection stations within designated area and sweep event grounds and bus tables of all litter, including "microtrash," throughout the event.
• Sort waste to maximize diversion and maintain level of cleanliness within designated area at all times.
• Clean site following the event as well as break down, clean and pack up all Clean Vibes materials and supplies upon site clean up completion.
• Be educated and informed about recycling and composting in San Francisco in order to pass this information and the event waste management system and diversion efforts on to patrons and other event staff.
• Educate, motivate and participate by encouraging patrons to become more involved in the waste management process
• Represent Clean Vibes in a professional, positive, and responsible manner.

The Clean Vibes Mission

Clean Vibes is a company formed and dedicated to responsible on-site waste management of outdoor festivals and events. Our mission is to actively encourage and promote recycling, composting and proper waste disposal. We hope to educate and inspire a new generation of responsible stewards. Our goal is to divert waste from landfills by increasing the amount of material that is recycled and composted, thereby greatly reducing the ecological footprint of outdoor festivals and events.
