CVS Health Minority Scholarship Application

AACP supports the development of an increasingly diverse population of pharmacists to serve as part of health care communities and teams that reflect the diversity of the populations served.

The CVS Health Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students program supports the financial needs of underrepresented minority (URM) students accepted into or currently enrolled in their first (P1) year of the professional phase of the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) program during the 2019-2020 academic year. URM pharmacy students are identified as black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

The purpose of the scholarship is to reduce the financial barriers and challenges for URM students who are pursuing a PharmD degree. The CVS Health Minority Scholarship will consist of five scholarships given to outstanding URM students entering into, OR currently enrolled in their first year of, a PharmD program. Selected awardees must demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to advancing the profession and patient care. Each recipient will receive a single $8,000 scholarship.

Only scholarship candidates who have been accepted to or enrolled in an ACPE pre-candidate, candidate, or accredited AACP member institution are eligible. Read more information on this scholarship program online.
