Student Instructions

The objective of the Center for Accounting Diversity (“Center’) Two-Year Bridge Symposium is to provide accounting content, community, and professional resources for two-year college students from underrepresented backgrounds as they contemplate their education pathways and potential careers in the accounting profession.  Specifically, the Center is collaborating with the Deloitte Foundation, the Center for Audit Quality, and the Teachers of Accounting at Two Year Colleges to provide a one-day symposium focusing on:

  • Opportunities in the Accounting Profession
  • Transitioning to Four-Year Institutions
  • CPA Exam and Licensure Planning
  • Scholarships and Professional Resources

The Two-Year Bridge Symposium will be an in-person event on November 4, 2022, from 11:00 AM EST – 4:00 PM EST in the Deloitte offices of the following cities (New York City, Chicago, Charlotte, San Francisco, and Houston). If selected, you will attend the Symposium at the Deloitte office based upon your school's location. Meals and other program expenses are funded by our Lead Sponsor, Deloitte Foundation.  Travel expenses are funded by the Center for Audit Quality, Supporting Sponsor.  We hope you will apply to join us!

Symposium Eligibility
 
Please confirm your compliance with the following eligibility criteria by selecting Confirm for each item.  
Are 18 years old or older. *
Are a racially or ethnically diverse student (i.e., Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, Native American, or Asian American and Pacific Islander) *
Have taken or are currently enrolled in a Financial/Fundamentals/Introductory Accounting course. *
Have taken or currently enrolled in at least six credit hours at your two-year institution. *
Are able and willing to travel to your assigned Symposium location and participate in the entire program. *
Agree to follow all COVID-19 protocols as required by the Deloitte host offices.

The current Deloitte protocol is for all visitors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) definition. All participants will have to attest to vaccination status during meeting registration prior to attending. *
