Help NDEO build a detailed database to accurately capture contact and demographic information for K-12 schools in our country that offer dance education (in any form). This information will be used Fall 2013 when NDEO implements a major national research study entitled: 21st Century K-12 Dance Education: An Investigation of Who, What, Where and How. To conduct this national study, NDEO will send out online surveys to collect detailed data on the schools that offer dance and the teachers that teach at those schools. This national study will be similar to an FRSS-type survey (Fast Response School Survey) that the government typically does across all academic subjects including the arts. However, the majority of arts' respondents in these government surveys are for music and visual arts. We believe that dance is underrepresented in these government surveys because the surveys often end up in schools that don't offer a dance curriculum. NDEO is sponsoring this national research study in an effort to improve our national voice for dance and dance education.
This K-12 Data Collection form that you are about to fill out will let us know exactly where to send the 21st Century K-12 Dance Education: An Investigation of Who, What, Where and How online survey this coming Fall (Nov. 1st launch date) to ensure maximum participation!
Our goal is to accurately identify over 2,000 K-12 schools in the US that offer dance to their students. As of 9-18-13, we have 1,351 schools in the database. For more information on NDEO please visit our website at www.ndeo.org.
