Volunteer Selection Process:
> July 2013 - January 2014: Application Submission Open.
> January 2014: We will select/assign volunteers.
> February 2014: Applicants will be notified via email whether or not they have been selected as a conference volunteer. Shift Assignments
The AAG conference volunteer program is very popular. We receive many more applications than available shifts. Applications will be accepted through the January 20, 2014, deadline, but unfortunately not everyone who applies will receive a shift. Once the schedule is fully staffed, names will be added to the conference volunteer wait list. We will notify potential volunteers by email regarding their status, so please check your spam filter settings. You can increase your odds of being selected by:
> Submitting your application early
> Selecting multiple days and times you are available for shiftsReimbursement
Volunteers MUST register for the meeting and are responsible for their registration costs. Conference volunteers will receive reimbursement for their hours worked at the close of their final shift. Volunteers will need to see Rebecca Epstein, AAG Volunteer Coordinator, directly after their final shift, to receive a reimbursement voucher. Volunteers will need to take the voucher to the accounting office for reimbursement. Only signed vouchers will be approved for reimbursement.
Those who pay for registration with a credit card will be reimbursed for their volunteer hours to the original credit card that was used for their registration (please have the card with you on-site). All other volunteers will be reimbursed for their volunteer hours worked by check or cash in US funds. Registration fees are not refunded.
